Tire Bay Management
The objective is to achieve maximum tyre and machine efficiency at minimum operating cost to the mine. We undertake the management of the tyre bay staff.
Duties include Daily pressure checks and reports. The safe and proper use of tyre fitting equipment. The branding of tyres with a unique mine number. Rim management on all vehicles. Identify running tyres for preventative repairs or retreading. Identify tyres to be run to destruction. Inventory control and feedback. Attend mine safety meetings. Compile tyre cost reports for weekly and monthly meetings. Attend monthly tyre meetings with mining & engineering management.
Measure performance in terms of cost savings.
Establish new cost saving objectives.
Identification of defect rims and components on a daily basis.
Incident reporting of all tyre failures with preventative report to all mining officials.
Conduct annual weight and tyre WCF studies and make tyre recommendations according to results.
Implement and run our tyre management program to track and report on tyre performance.
The handling of administration and documentation in accordance with mine procedures
